Kyle Cato (owner)
CrossFit 806 was born when Kyle and Michael started working out in a garage together back in 2010, and Kyle has been hooked ever since. When Kyle isn't coaching or programming the workouts for CrossFit 806, he teaches PE at Coronado Elementary School. He and his wife Cayla have a son named Jeremiah.
Michael and his wife Hannah have been doing CrossFit since 2008. He started Capstone CrossFit in Lubbock in 2009 before moving to Amarillo and starting CrossFit 806 in December of 2010. When not coaching or working on gym related stuff, Michael and Hannah try and keep up with their son Jack.
Jacob has one of the coolest stories of everyone at CrossFit 806. He was actually the very first member when we started in 2010. Weighing in at over 300 lbs, he walked in and said, "I'll do whatever you tell me to do". The rest really is history. To check out Jacob's success story, click here.
Brooks started doing CrossFit workouts on his own at a local gym in 2011 and was immediately hooked. After 6 months of getting strange looks and the realization that his form was terrible, he joined CrossFit 806 in January 2012 and hasn't looked back. A CrossFit Level 1 trainer since February of 2014, Brooks loves helping people of all ages and abilities move better and get stronger. He's the founder and president of Mission 2540, a non-profit that works with families in poverty. He and his wife Sunny have 3 kids who all love CrossFit.
Alejandro has been involved with sports/athletics his whole life. As a stand out defensive player for Tascosa High School's football team, he received a scholarship to Texas Tech University. After several injuries, he had to give up football, and that's what brought him to CrossFit 806. He finished his Math degree at WT, and is in the process of starting a furniture importing company.
Tracy coaches our Endurance class. He has been competing in endurance competitions for over 40 years. Here's a list of some of his most memorable races: Boulder half ironman triathlon, 4 marathons, Century (100 mi) bike race, numerous 5k & 10k running races, half marathons, 25 and 50 mile bike races, sprint and olympic distance triathlons. Tracy and his wife Elaine have four kids.
Tia has always been into fitness and lifting weights. After trying CrossFit for the first time in 2011, she was hooked. CrossFit is more than just something she does, it is something she loves. For the 2016 South Regionals, she was invited to work with the broadcast team. Her CrossFit family means everything to her. When she isn’t at the gym, Tia spends her time pet sitting and working on her photography skills.

Hannah is married to Michael, and has been doing CrossFit since 2009 and coaching since 2010. Although fitness is her passion, "paleo" cooking / baking is also one of her specialties. If you want to know how to make a killer gluten free muffin, she can tell you how. CrossFit HQ also came out and did a story on Hannah and some of the other girls in our gym who were CrossFitting while pregnant. Really cool story, you can watch the YouTube video here.
Colton has been involved with sports / fitness his whole life. From speedskating as a child, to football and powerlifting in high school. Colton was introduced to CrossFit in 2014 from a college roommate and hasn't stopped since. Colton has also help start a CrossFit Strength and Conditioning program for a junior and high school in Lubbock. When not workingout, Colton is teaching kids how to skate at his father's business Skateplex.
