Bio

Jaren Alvarado grew up in Bushland, Texas. Growing up, he played all kinds of sports, and eventually went on to play college football in Oklahoma. He utilized CrossFit to train for football and have been hooked ever since. He obtained his L-1 Cert, and the rest is history.

He graduated in 2022 with his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, and is currently working on his Master’s degree in Sports Administration. He enjoys hanging out with friends and family, lots of traveling, and spending time with his girlfriend Meagan, and their two dogs, Bentlee and Beau. He found his passion for coaching and helping all different types of athletes throughout the last few years, seeing smiling and sweaty faces, and the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the workout is his “why” for coaching. Serving and building relationships with individuals looking to make impactful changes in their lifestyle is what keeps Jaren motivated.

Jaren currently coaches CrossFit classes, does 1 on 1 and small group training, works with high school strength and conditioning, and works with coaches’ development for CrossFit 806 coaching staff.

What do you love about CrossFit?

I love the community aspect of CrossFit. For a lot of our members, our gym is their home away from home. Helping athletes find purpose and value, all while increasing their fitness and having fun is what makes CrossFit amazing.

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit 806?

My favorite thing about CrossFit 806 is all of the things our community gets to do outside of fitness (obviously love the fitness aspect, too!) Our partnership with 25:35 water, ANB, Vetsgiving. and Mission 2540 are just a few of the things that we get to utilize fitness to help people all over the world.

What classes do you coach

Majority of my time is spent at our main location coaching most of the morning and afternoons, doing lots of PT, as well as 2-3x a week at the lunchtime class at ANB.
