- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Taylor Sparks feels blessed, being involved at CrossFit 806 for several years now. She is a bougie coffee drinker, buys more books than she can read, loves her fur babies deeply, and enjoys hammocking in parks.
Taylor was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and has stuck around since. She teaches full time when not coaching but also helps facilitate a book club for a non-profit organization in Amarillo. People often warn us that our children will give us a taste of our own medicine. She is tasting her own medicine with the miniature version of herself. Being around positive individuals, lifting one another up in the gym, and encouraging each other through life brings Taylor joy.
What do I love about CrossFit?
I am a former athlete who still loves competing, but also someone who enjoys the company while I workout. CrossFit provides me the liberty of walking into the gym without having to plan my workout, the push to be better than the workout before, and the individual coaching I don’t feel I’d receive on my own, so for that I’m grateful.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
My favorite lift is the hang power clean and my favorite struggle is gymnastics. I love that there is always something I can be learning and/or improving.
Which classes do I coach?
At CrossFit 806, I coach the CrossFit Kid classes and occasionally step in for the adult classes. Interacting with and being and a part of someone’s journey in the gym fills my cup. Seeing the kid’s confidence grow as we practice movements is one of the many highlights of my job here!
