- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Eric grew up in Everett, Washington. He left home and joined the Navy in 2011. During his time in the Navy he found his first CrossFit gym while training in Florida. That sparked a love for high intensity workouts and Olympic lifting. Towards the end of his time in the Navy Eric met his wife Brittany while he was attending a course in Arizona. The two eventually moved to Amarillo, Texas.
While preparing for their wedding they decided to try to get themselves “wedding ready” and found their way into the doors of CrossFit 806 in the fall of 2020. The two have found a home-away-from-home inside the walls of CrossFit 806. After a few years of attending Eric received his Level 1 and began coaching for CrossFit 806. Coaching CrossFit has been one of the most rewarding things Eric has experienced in life. Eric always wants to ensure that the members of CrossFit 806 get fit and have fun doing it.
What do you love about CrossFit?
I love the fact that I get to just show up and work. There is no thinking about what you are going to do for your workout; just walk in the door, work hard, and have fun!
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
My favorite thing about CrossFit is getting to work out with my wife. We bring our son to the gym and he gets to see both of us work hard and get strong together.
What Classes do you coach?
I coach the 9am classes and occasionally some afternoon classes, especially on Thursdays.
